ILI-NH - Influenza-like illness (including COVID-19) sentinel surveillance in Belgian nursing homes
The objective of ILI_NH is to signal and monitor start, duration and intensity of influenza-like illness or ILI (including COVID-19) waves/appearances among nursing homes (NH) residents to optimize and support provided health-care, -planning, -management and -policies. In addition, ILI_NH monitors locally circulating virus types/subtypes or lineages/sub-lineages and their relationship to global and regional patterns. We have an aggregated dataset on NH level with ILI-cases, ILI-related hospital admissions, and deaths in NH, for the whole season. We have anonymized sample data of nursing home residents with linked epidemiological data between October and May of each season.
